This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where a plugin is incorrectly translating documents on a multilingual site managed by WPML. The English page displays 145 documents in both English and French, but the French page does not display any documents due to a translation conflict.
Solution:
We do not have a specific setting in WPML to prevent the translation of these documents. Instead, we have set up a sandbox environment for the client to reproduce the issue with the same plugin configuration. This step is crucial to determine if the problem can be confirmed as a bug. If the issue is reproducible, we will involve our compatibility team and possibly the plugin authors to investigate and address the issue. The sandbox can be accessed here: https://grey-synthesizer.sandbox.otgs.work/?auto=NrvRBvvYq5uIvwEWFwk4XzjO3UH1VquU.

Please note that if this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Hi Elisa,

We previously discussed the request "Please install the Docs plugin here", and you confirmed that this plugin is a paid one and requires its own license.

I'm not sure why the Barn2 plugin is now referring to the WPML license. We will of course provide the WPML license, but we currently do not have a license for the Docs plugin.

Best regards,
Marcel

here are their reply as they check it:

Hi Elisa,

I'm not able to replicate the issue outside the table, but I still think it's coming from WPML. That said, I'll pass this over to our lead developer so he can take a closer look and investigate further.

I'll keep you updated as soon as I hear back.

Hi,

As mentioned before, there may be an issue, so I shared the Sandbox environment to help us confirm whether it can be reproduced.

If we are able to reproduce the issue there, we can verify that it is a bug and then help the plugin authors investigate and fix it in their codebase. However, we can’t confirm a bug without this Sandbox reproduction step, so we first need the affected plugin installed on the Sandbox in order to run proper tests.

Please also note that we can’t handle compatibility fixes directly inside the WPML code in every case. Even if the issue appears while using WPML, it does not automatically mean that the fix can or should be implemented in WPML. In many situations, the required fix needs to be done in the third-party plugin itself.

Regarding the updates on your website, I’m currently unable to proceed because the reCAPTCHA verification fails on your live site. Could you please check whether the provided login credentials are still active?

Best regards,
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

I have now sucessfully updated the problems with the plugin updates with another support member of WPML.

As you are not able to help me with the translation issues of the doc library and it has been too long... I will close the case here and sort with them directly.

if the problem is with WPML, I will have to cancel and request refund and work again with GTranslations as I didnt have problems with any plugins when I was testing them.

Thansk again and all the best
Elisangela
