I am trying to: have our hotel taxonomy menus have each hotel listed once, with a working featured image for each hotel

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link (scroll down to Most Popular Luxury Hotels and click 'SHOW MORE'

I expected to see: Each hotel just once, and each with a working featured image

Instead, I got: Duplicated hotels in the taxonomy and broken featured images, ever since we activated the WPML plug in.

Hello,

1) In order to expedite handling your support requests, can you please share WPML support debug information from your site.

- To give debug information, login to your site and go to WPML → Support. From there click on the “debug information” link at the bottom of the page.
- Once on the “debug information” page, select the entire content of the text box and copy it.
- Now go back to our support forum, find debug information box and paste it.

More information on the link: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

2) Also, as I can see from the website files, you are using a custom theme, so even if we do not support custom-coded themes we can try to point you in the correct direction or any doubts. If you could explain how are you loading and creating these posts?

3) We also advise hiring WPML contractor if you need help with custom coded themes:

Please find the debug information attached.

We are creating these posts using Taxonomy menus to pull in hotel pages, categorised by country. But now they are pulling in duplicates, and the Featured Image seems to have been lost from some hotel pages.

Hello,

thanks.

Can you please clarify in more detail:

1) Are using some plugin for this, some custom code? What method are you using for this?

2) Does the issue happens also with some other taxonomies or only specific ones?

3) Since you are using a custom theme, is it possible to reproduce the issue with WP default theme? As per our support policy, we can not debug or support issues with custom coded themes, but we would be glad to help with any advice if we can.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi Drazne,

1) Are using some plugin for this, some custom code? What method are you using for this?

No we are not using a plugin - we are using the simple Permalink URLS setting in WordPress and our URL structure is standardised.

2) Does the issue happens also with some other taxonomies or only specific ones?

This issue is happening with the hotel taxonomies only, and it seems to be only when the taxonomy is pulling through lots of hotels itself (rather than taxonomy menus where we select the hotels we want seen).

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

1) Who developed your theme? You or a hired developer or?

2) Does the issue still happen when you disable WPML plugins?

Regards,
Drazen
