[Escalated to WPML Developers team] I deleted an ACF group but am still the fields in the editor
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Tell us what you are trying to do?
I am trying to translate individual pages but I am seeing duplicate ACF fields. I don't have any .json files that are duplicating the content. I did import ACF fields and also did a WP import which duplicated the field groups initially, but I have since deleted the duplicate. I believe WPML is somehow picking up the deleted field group
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Support forums
Welcome to WPML support. I'd be happy to help you with this.
How are you deleting the fields? It looks like when you are deleting the fields, the fields aren't deleted from the database because those fields appear in the Advanced Translation editor.
I also suggest you reach out to the ACF team and see if there is a workaround to delete the data from the database, once done, WPML will show it accordingly in ATE after a page update.
We are working on removing unused post meta from ATE and it's in our developers queue. I will update you further as soon as I will have more info.
Thanks
