Can you help me on these three points:
1) I don't want to translate the post and taxonomy slugs, so I haven't checked that slug translation option. But still it's translating slugs of posts and classifications, I need help on that point.
3) And I have selected automatic translation and its translating the taxonomy but can't assign post in translated taxonomy.
Here is the new ticket. I will explain about the slug translation in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE):
1. Regarding the taxonomy slug: when you translate a post, the taxonomy is included in the content for translation. You will translate the taxonomy name and the slug will be automatically generated from the name.
If you don't want to translate the taxonomy name and slug, you can follow steps below:
- Go to WPML > Taxonomy Translation > Select the taxonomy and translate the terms on your site manually.
- Go to WPML > Settings > Enable option "Only show taxonomy terms that haven't been translated yet".
The translated taxonomy won't be included in the content when you translate the post.
2. Regarding the post slug: you can go to WPML > Settings > Translated documents options > Page URL:
- select "Auto-generate from title (default)" if you want to generate the slug from the translation post title.
- select "Translate" if you want to translate the post slug in the ATE.
Regarding the issue "I have selected automatic translation and it's translating the taxonomy but can't assign post in translated taxonomy."
You can go to WPML > Settings > Posts and pages synchronization > Copy taxonomy to translations > Then edit the post > Translate it or Update to sync the taxonomy to the translation post.
Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
