We are facing a critical SEO issue with our WPML setup. Currently, we're experiencing duplicate URLs for our products. For instance, we have both hidden link and hidden link. Each product has a duplicate URL, one with '/product/' and one without. We urgently need your assistance to rectify this by maintaining only the URL structure without '/product/' for all products.
Additionally, in our translated versions, such as the German version, we're encountering a similar issue. When accessing the URL without '/produkt/', it redirects to the URL with '/produkt/'. This inconsistency is detrimental to our SEO efforts, and we require immediate resolution to mitigate its impact.

I check the product page URL and see that the URL without the /product/ slug is the valid one. You can use the Inspect tool of the browser and find the hreflang, canonical URLs, see attached screenshot. hidden link
It looks like the option to remove the product base slug of RankMath SEO plugin and in the default language English so I think it isn't related to WPML.
Also, I don't see the invalid product URL hidden link

However, we have encountered another significant issue after translating over 300 products using WPML. The products are translated into German, but we've noticed that some images are missing in the translated versions, with only the primary image being present. We can handle one issue per ticket only so I will split your new issue with "some images are missing in the translated versions" into a new ticket for better handling.
Regarding the main issue of this ticket, as I mentioned above, this URL is not a valid URL hidden link
as this happens in the default language English so it might not relate to WPML itself. You can try to deactivate WPML for a while and recheck this.
You see the invalid URL in the Google Search Console (GSC) results, which could be a caching issue. Please try to submit the sitemap to GSC to crawl the new URLs and see if it helps.
