This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to find where to translate the text "læs mere" to "read more" for the English language on their website.

Solution:
1. We recommended the client to go to WPML > String Translation and scroll to the bottom of the page.
2. Select the option "Look for strings while the page is rendered", visit the page, and refresh it.
3. Then, return to WPML > String Translation, disable the option, and search for the string. It should now be available for translation.

If the string is showing with the incorrect language flag:
1. Check the box on the left of the string.
2. Scroll down a bit and select "change language of string".
3. Change it to Danish, so that the one showing at the moment with the EN flag will have the Danish flag.
4. Then, on the right side, you will be able to add the English translation.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you are waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket and work on it, let me provide you with the first debugging steps and try to help with the issue quickly.

Please go to WPML > String translation and scroll to the bottom of the page, select the option "Look for strings while the page is rendered", visit your page, and refresh it. Then go back to WPML > String translation disable this option and search for your string. It should appear there and you can translate it.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen

That worked.
It seems like the English sentence is in danish?
See attachment

English = read more
Danish = læs mere

Hi there.

It seems that you are right: the wrong language flag is selected for that string.

Please check the box on the left, then scroll down a bit, select "change language of string" and change it to Danish, so that the one showing at the moment with EN flag will have the Danish flag and then, on the right side, you will be able to add the EN translation.

I hope that you will find this information helpful. 🙂
