Background of the issue:
I'm translating my existing WordPress website from English to Arabic. I have set up WPML for both languages and changed a few Arabic articles to the ARABIC version. The issue can be seen at hidden link.
Symptoms:
When I change the language of an article from English to Arabic and update it, all existing selected categories are automatically deselected.
Questions:
Why are the categories deselected when I update an article after changing its language?
How can I ensure that the categories remain selected when switching languages?
