Import any file as .xliff format does not translate selected texts in the page

miroslavP-13	Background of the issue: I am trying to import an .xliff file with translated texts/strings into the WP editor using the 'Import option' in 'Translations'. The goal is to have all text blocks across pages translated. Example pages include: hidden link and hidden link. Symptoms: The texts next to images are missing after importing the .xliff file. I expected all imported text blocks across pages to be translated, but they are not. Questions: How does the import of .xliff files actually work?

Background of the issue:
