Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML with WooCommerce Bookings on my site hidden link. I have bookable products available in six languages, with Czech set as the default language.
Symptoms:
Labels such as 'Check Availability, From, etc.' remain in English when they should appear in the appropriate language for Czech. Other languages do not have this issue.
Questions:
Why do the labels for bookable products remain in English only for the Czech language?
How can I ensure that labels appear in the correct language for Czech in WooCommerce Bookings?
Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.
I understand what you're looking for. Typically, static strings are loaded from the translation files that come with the plugin. In the case of WooCommerce Bookings, it’s possible that the plugin's static strings haven’t been translated into Czech yet, or the Czech translation file might not be included with the plugin. As a result, the static strings aren't being automatically translated into Czech.
Since most of the static strings in WooCommerce Bookings have translation support, you can go to WPML > String Translation and manually translate these strings into Czech. Please try these steps and let me know how it goes.
- Please go to WPML > Theme and Plugins localization
- Select the WooCommerce Bookings plugin and scan the plugin for strings.
- Once the scan is completed, go to WPML > String Translation.
- Search for the String that you want to translate.
- If that appears in the result, add the translation by clicking the "+" icon below the language flag.
I hope the steps above will help. however, feel free to let me know if you need further assistance or clarification in this matter. I'll be happy to help.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
