Background of the issue:
I am managing the translation of hidden link using WPML. I have created an integration with Smartcat.
I am encountering a critical issue exporting content from WPML to smartcat. we were able to extract some content via the WPML connector, but several key fields—especially custom article fields—were missing. Smartcat investigated the site and told me these fields use keys beginning with an underscore (_), and they have already followed the WPML steps to mark them as translatable (Settings → Custom Fields Translation → Show system fields). Even after doing this, not all fields are exported.
Access details to the dev site in this ticket:

we also tried exporting the content to XML but received a very big file with too many segments of code.

the license for WPML is on my client's name.

Symptoms:
We are unable to fully export source-language content from the website to the Smartcat platform. Only the first element was included in the export, while the 4 pictures and text elements under the first one were excluded. All the article fields were excluded.

Questions:
How can we ensure complete export of all content, including custom fields, to Smartcat.
How can I export only relevant translatable content to XML without all the codes
Is there a reliable method for re-importing translations into those fields? we had an attempt to upload to smartcat but then could not import it back.
Are there best practices for handling underscore-prefixed fields in this workflow?

attached 2 screenshots - 1 text I could upload, 2 - all the elements that were not included in the export to smartcat
