We’re currently experiencing an issue that appears to be related to WPML’s URL rewriting or routing behavior, and we’d appreciate your guidance.
We’re using BuddyBoss app integration that relies on specific App Pages and custom routes. As part of our troubleshooting, we disabled WPML translation for these App Pages entirely, but the issue persists. This leads us to believe that the problem may not be related to page translation itself, but rather to WPML’s global language handling of URLs.
From what we can see, even when pages are excluded from translation, WPML still applies language logic to URLs, which seems to interfere with how the app resolves its routes and endpoints.
We’d like to ask:
- Is there a way to fully exclude specific pages, endpoints, or custom routes from WPML’s URL rewriting and language handling?
- Does WPML support excluding app-specific routes or non-standard endpoints from language rewriting altogether?
Any recommendations or best practices for handling this kind of setup would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help, and please let us know if you need any additional details from our side.
Hi again. Would you be able to check the mapping issue as mentioned in screenshot? It seems that Norwegian Bokmål is not being detected among the app languages, causing English to be set as the default language.
Could this be related to the mapping issue shown in the screenshot?
