We identified a MySQL spike linked to an admin-ajax.php call, and it seems the WPMLUtilitiesLock::create function is stuck in a loop. Symptoms: The WP admin locks up for several minutes weekly, with a MySQL spike and a transaction trace leading to an admin-ajax.php call. The WPMLUtilitiesLock::create function appears to be stuck in a loop. Questions: Could you please look into this and let us know if there is anything we can do (possibly a WPML setting)? Is there any update on a fix for this?
