This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to see updated text in the translation pages even after changing it in the main language. The old text was still visible in the WPML Translation Editor.
Solution:
We accessed the WPML Translation Editor and utilized the WPML troubleshooting options to set the language information and clear the cache. Specifically, we navigated to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and executed the cleanup options, particularly focusing on 'Clearing the cache'. Although multiple cleanup options were run, clearing the cache likely addressed the issue. For detailed steps, please visit WPML Troubleshooting Options.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello,

Once you edit a original content WPML will expect that the translation gets updated.

You said, you edited the pages in all languages. This is not recommended, unless you use the WordPress-Editor as translation method.

On each original content you will select in the right sidebar which method should be used to translate the content.

You can choose:

- WPML Translation Editor
or
- WordPress-Editor

You should not use the WordPress-Editor, if the WPML Translation Editor is set as translation method.
The WPML Translation Editor can not capture edits that were taken on the translation when using the WordPress Editor or a Page Builder.

Such edits will be overwrite, once you translate the content again with the WPML Translation Editor.

Further, take note that if you use the mode "Translate Everything automatically" then this requieres the WPML Translation Editor as translation method. You should not make any manual edits on the translations using the WordPress Editor or a page builder if you use automatic translation.

I hope this calrifies the issue that you might be experiencing.

In case you need further assistance, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi, maybe I didn't explain well: I've change the text in the main language but If I open the translation editor it continues to show on the left sidebar (the original language), the old version of the text.

Hi,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" here to create a copy of the site that I can use to investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Please note that WPML must also be registered on this staging site at https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/.

If you are not able to provide such a copy of the website for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

The private reply form looks like this:

The next time you reply, click on "I still need assistance".

Please note that we are obliged to request this information individually on each ticket. We are not allowed to access any credentials that were not specifically submitted on this ticket in the private response form.

Best regards
Andreas

I am not able to use the WPML Translation Editor, as the temporary user was missing a full name and e-mail address.

Could you please confirm my changes and let me know here once this is done?

I can provide you a "normal" admin user but in this chat I have no possibilities to send it privately anymore.
Can you provide me this option?

Thank you, I was able to open the WPML Translation Editor now.

I used the WPML troubleshooting options to set the language information and to clear the cache in WPML.

I then tested the homepage's translation to Spanish and I can not direclty see an issue.

Could you please provide me with an exact example?

Now i see it correctly, what did you do?

And sorry, I don't understand: I didn't provide you extra credential, how can you manage to solve the problem about the limits of the temporary user?

The issue about the temp user was solved. I just needed you to confirm the e-mail address. Any user that is enabled to use the WPML Advanced Translation Editor needs to have a valid e-mail and full name in their profile.

About the content:
I went to WPML > Support > Troubelshooting and ran the options in the section cleanup.

Source:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-troubleshooting-options

I am suspecting in this case the option "Clearing the cache" was what solved the issue, but as I ran more than a couple of those clean-up options I can not fully confirm which one solved it.

Please let me know if further assitance is needed.

Indeed, if you would run into a similar issue, the troubleshooting options usually would solve this.
