This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where Jetpack Social Share is posting the wrong URL for the Dutch version of their bilingual blog. The intro text is correct in Dutch, but the URL is for the English version. If the English post isn't published yet, it grabs a random photo and an incorrect URL.

Solution:
Resaving the languages after upgrading the plugin fixed the issue.

Since a week or so, I noticed that the Jetpack social share posts the wrong link for the Dutch part of my website. I use WPML to create a bi-langual blog. I never had issues with the Jetpack Social Share feature, but now it posts the wrong URL.

The strange part is: the intro is Dutch. So it does grab the correct intro, but the URL is the English version. If the English version is not posted yet, it seems to grab a random photo and the not yet published - non-permalink-version - of the URL.

What I have tried:

- Re save permalink structure (doesn't seem to help)
- Flush cache (doesn't seem to help)
- Disable / re-enable Jetpack plugin (didn't help)
- Re-connect the Jetpack plugin (didn't help)

I hope you can help me solve this issue. Maybe you are aware of an issue?

Hi,

1) Following these steps on your staging site, Please check if the issue persists in a minimal environment.

1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.

If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.

❌ Please backup your database before performing the above test ❌

2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?
You can read a detailed explanation about it here. (http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support)
The debug info will give me much information about how your site is configured.

Best regards,
Osama

Apparently: I needed to resave the languages after upgrading the plugin. Something went wrong there. I found this solution after a ten day period of weird issues on the website.
