Problem:
The client was unable to translate their landing page using WPML because of a compatibility error message stating that the theme currently in use was not compatible with the site editor.

Solution:
We first asked the client to clarify when and where they encountered the error and the steps they took before receiving it. We requested a screen recording or screenshots, along with the URL where the error occurred, to better understand the issue. Additionally, we asked for temporary access to the client's site, including wp-admin and FTP credentials, to investigate the problem further. We emphasized the importance of backing up the site before providing access and assured the client of our strict privacy and security policies, which can be reviewed at our privacy and security policy page.

If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend following these steps and providing us with the necessary information to assist you. However, please note that the solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Tell us what you are trying to do? I am trying to translate my landing page. This is the only page that cannot be translated, because it says “theme you are currently using is not compatible with the site editor.

Is there any documentation that you are following?

Is there a similar example that we can see? No, all other pages I need from now are translated. I need urgent support.

Hi there.

You are using a pretty popular theme + the Elementor builder so things should be fine.

1. Can you please let me know WHEN and WHERE you see this error? What are the exact steps that you are taking before you get that error? If you can share a screen recording or some screenshots and the URL where I can see that happening, that would help a lot.

2. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Hi, my mistake, I was looking at the wrong page, therefore it couldn’t translate.
Now it’s working.
