This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client needs to develop a multilingual website with a specific setup involving two domains and three languages. The requirement is that http://www.sftl.be should serve content in Dutch and German, while fstl.be should be in French. Additionally, the pages must be linked as translations to allow users to switch between languages and land on the correct corresponding page on the respective domain.
Solution:
We currently do not support the functionality to have multiple languages on one domain and a separate language on another domain using the WPML plugin. In the WPML > Languages > Language URL format section, you can only select one option for language URL configuration. To achieve the desired setup, custom coding would be necessary, which is beyond the support we can provide in this forum. We recommend seeking assistance from our specialized contractors at https://wpml.org/contractors/.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If so, we encourage you to open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you need further assistance, please contact us in the WPML support forum.
