Language switcher not showing in mobile menu

The language switcher is added in the same way to the secondary menu for regular screens, where it works fine. Symptoms: The language switcher is only showing in Dutch (main language) on the mobile menu and not in the other languages. Questions: Why is the language switcher not displaying in other languages on the mobile menu?

Background of the issue:
I am developing a site and trying to add a language switcher to a mobile menu that only shows on mobile devices. The language switcher is added in the same way to the secondary menu for regular screens, where it works fine.

Symptoms:
