[Resolved] LearnPress - I can't find and translate some strings
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is unable to translate certain strings on their website using WPML and Elementor, as these strings do not appear in the WPML string translation tab. Solution: First, we recommend checking the workaround provided on the WPML errata page for issues related to translating strings from JavaScript files in LearnPress. You can find the details here: LearnPress JavaScript translation issue. If that does not resolve the issue, please follow these steps: 1. Navigate to Loco -> Languages -> Turkish. 2. Select LearnPress. 3. Go to the Relocate tab. 4. Choose System. 5. Click Move Files. After completing these steps, the strings should be correctly translated.
If the solution provided is outdated or does not apply to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still experience issues, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

<b>Questions: </b>
How can I translate strings that do not appear in the translation tab?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.
Please try the following steps:
1- Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select your theme/plugin, and scan
2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end
Hi Osama,
Thanks for help. The steps you suggested unfortunately didn't work. It didn't find any string i need in step "4- Search for the needed strings". But I did look through the guideline you sent. The "Temporarily Enabling Auto-Register Strings" method helped me find a small number of missing strings. Unfortunately, I couldn't find most of them even with this method.
I am sending you the screenshots of the missing texts as an attachment. It would be great if you could connect with our access info and check.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Thanks for the access details. I checked the issue and found most of the strings are translated in String Translation but not on the front end.
It could be a compatibility issue. Please log in to this hidden link">sandbox site and install LearnPress.
After that, please create a test course and translate it to replicate the issue. Please let me know if the issue is replicable to check and consult our compatibility team.
Hi again,
I did what you said for Turkish. The steps I followed are as follows:
1. I installed and activated Learnpress.
2. I created a course in English.
3. I translated it into Turkish and added a quiz in Turkish. (I only have problems with quizzes.)
4. I scanned for Learnpress from the "Theme and plugins localization" tab.
5. I activated the "Auto register strings for translation" feature and opened the pages to find the strings.
6. The same situation happened on my own web page. In other words, it found some strings and not others. But no translations appeared on the front-end.
Note: If you need to check the Pass-Fail interfaces, the answers to the quiz questions are option A.
Thanks for replicating the issue. Please note: For full multilingual capabilities, you will need to use the premium version of LearnPress. The WPML add-on for LearnPress is required (and is bundled with the premium version).
Please check this page. Kindly translate the "premium version of LearnPress" and "WPML add-on for LearnPress" plugins on the sandbox site.
You don't need to buy it to test it on the sandbox site. I'll check with our compatibility team if we have the pro version and install it on the sandbox to see if that would fix the issue.
If the Pro version fixes the issue on the sandbox site, you will need to buy it for your site.
I tried again with new sandbox site. Still same. Attached is a screenshot. The marked areas are not visible even though they are translated. Also, in the Quiz section, all UI strings are missing in the string translation tab.
