This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're trying to translate a site manually using WPML and only the page title appears in the translation editor, despite increasing the

max_input_vars

setting in your PHP configuration.
Solution:
We recommend using a manual duplication method for translating your pages. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Navigate to WPML > Translation Management.
2. Select the page you want to translate.
3. Choose the language for the translation.
4. Click on "Duplicate" and then the Duplicate button.
This will duplicate the content from the default language to the selected language. Next, go to your site's backend main area under Pages, switch the language from the top black bar, and hover over the duplicated page to select "Edit with Elementor". This allows you to manually edit the translated version directly in Elementor.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, or if it's not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate a site manually using WPML, but the translation editor only shows me the page title. I increased the max_input_vars setting in my PHP configuration but the error persists.

Symptoms:
The texts on the page do not appear at all in the translation editor.

Questions:
Why does the translation editor only show the page title?
How can I make the texts on the page appear in the translation editor?

Hi there.

There is a chance that the blocks in the page builder need some extra work to get them to be visible for WPML.

But if you want to translate manually, there's a quick method that you can use.

You can go to WPML > Translation Management > select the page that you want to translate > select the language in which you want to translate > select "Duplicate" > and then click the Duplicate button.

What this will do is that it will duplicate the content from the default language to the other language.

Now, you can go to your site's backend main area > Pages > then switch the language from the top black bar and now you will see the duplicated version which you have hover your mouse over it and select "Edit with Elementor".

This way, you can edit the translated/duplicated version with Elementor and you can just click and edit the words to whatever you want.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.

Goog morning Mihai
thank you so much for your reply .

I did a little test on a page and it works even if I don't use Elementor but BeBuilder which is integrated in the BeTheme theme.

Strange that WPML doesn't work since the theme is among those reported as compatible by the plugin.
The procedure is a bit more cumbersome but fortunately the site doesn't have many pages.
thanks for your support, have a nice day

Hi Alessandro,

Thank you so much for the update!

I am happy to hear that you could find a way to get things done and accomplish your goal using BeBuilder with the BeTheme theme. It's great to know that the translation process is working for your site, even if the procedure is a bit more involved. Your perseverance is truly appreciated.

While WPML is compatible with BeTheme and BeBuilder, sometimes integrations can vary based on specific configurations. If you encounter any further and specific issues or need assistance optimizing the translation workflow, please don't hesitate to reach out and always feel free to open a new ticket for each unique issue that you are experiencing.

Thank you again for your patience and collaboration.

Have an amazing rest of the day!
