This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is unable to translate pages directly on the page as before and now has to go through WPML/Translation queue.

Solution:
We recommend checking the current settings in WPML -> Settings to ensure that the translation mode is set to either "Translate everything automatically" for automatic translations as new content is created or updated, or "Translate what you choose" for on-demand manual or automatic translations. Additionally, it's important to verify the setup by providing debug information, which can be done following the instructions here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/
For further troubleshooting, we suggest recording the screen while:
1. Navigating to WPML -> Settings to show the Translation Mode & Automatic translation sections.
2. Demonstrating the current method of attempting to translate.
3. Going to WPML -> Translation Management and sending content for automatic translation.
This will help us better understand and assist with the issue.

If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, please check related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. We highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to manually trigger automatic translation directly on the page using WPML. Previously, I could translate pages by clicking on the wheel for the language directly on the page, translating automatically or manually, and then completing the translation.

Symptoms:
Now, the translation is somehow assigned to me, and I need to go to WPML/Translation queue to proceed.

Questions:
How can I get back to the easy way of translating pages directly on the page as before?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

For automatic translation, as you create new content or update existing, you can set the translation mode to "Translate everything automatically" in WPML -> Settings. While to translate automatically or manually on-demand, you can set the mode to "Translate what you choose".

Can you please check that what are your current settings?

Please also provide the debug information of your website for an overview of your setup. See https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/ for more information.

I've enabled the debug information section for your next reply.

Additionally you can also take a look at https://wpml.org/faq/checklist-before-opening-a-ticket-in-wpml-support/ and cross-check for a few initial fixes.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.

Regards.

Thank you for the reply. Debug-info supplied.
It seems it is ony possible to select either fully automatic, or manual with selection of translator.

Thank you for the updates.

With "Translate what you choose", you can either translate automatically by going to WPML -> Translation Management, select your content, and select "Translate automatically", or, the same way can assign to a translator.

Can you please record your screen showing the following?

- WPML -> Settings -> Translation Mode & Automatic translation sections.
- The way you are trying to translate.
- Then going to WPML -> Translation Management and sending content for automatic translation.

Please note that in any case (automatic or what you choose), when you edit a translation in ATE yourself, you still get the option to translate the currently loaded content automatically (look for a button on top of the editor), if you have enough credits available or using PAYG (pay as you go).

Please share me the information as requested above, so I can observe and help you further on the matter.
