Background of the issue:
Hi, in the setup of the WPML I chose to set the translations by myself. After building the website I tried to translate a page but the translation was already completed in Greek by automatic translations. I checked my account and I don't have any credits, never had. But in the translation manager while editing it says 'Translated Automatically to Greek (100 credits used)'. I went back to the settings and disabled all the translation engines and double-checked that the Manually was selected.

Symptoms:
Translations are being completed automatically despite selecting manual translations. The translation manager indicates 'Translated Automatically to Greek (100 credits used)'.

Questions:
Why are translations being completed automatically despite selecting manual translations?
How can I stop automatic translations from occurring?

Hi there.

At the top of that page where you see that 100 credits were used, you should have a button to UNDO the automatic translation to recover the credits.

Can you also please make sure that inside WPML > Settings, at the top area, we have "Translate what you choose" selected instead of "Translate everything automatically"?

Please let me know how things go and if this helps.

Hi, "Translate what you choose" is selected since the WPML setup progress. Never changed it to automatically. But, despite that, I could see below that Translation engines, 4 in total that was checked and I unchecked them. As you can see in the screenshot, available credits are zero, it was always zero but in the first domain underneath 1404 credits were used. I don't understand how this is possible. The license there was activated as "in development", I am not sure if this has to do with that but after migrating to the original domain (production site) I don't see the automatic translation enabled any more. Anyway, you can close this ticket if you think there is nothing to investigate, since in production site it looks good.

Ok, thank you for the update.

I am happy to hear that things are better now on the production environment.

We can leave things as is for now as the situation is a bit confusing and we don't see it happening on production.

However, please do not hesitate to get back to us if you ever ecounter issues at some point.
