Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the menu in Elementor, but all menu items are duplicated in the secondary language. See here: hidden link. It seems to have something to do with the menu synchronisation, because it is even worse when we sync the menus. Manually rebuilding the menu in the secondary language does not help. Symptoms:
Menu items are duplicated in the secondary language when using the menu in Elementor. The issue persists even after manually rebuilding the menu.

Questions:
Why are menu items duplicated in the secondary language?
How can I fix the menu duplication issue in Elementor?

Hello,

Can you please check if this issue appears when:

- only WPML plugins are activated, as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with other plugin
- theme is set to a WordPress default like Twenty Twenty as it will tell us if there is an interaction issue with your theme

Similar cases we had so far were sometimes related to the theme not handing this properly.
