If the language switcher is configured for any specific widget, the language switcher should appear with that widget. Can you provide the link to the page where this widget is located? I'll check and let you know what to do next.
Additionally, if there are other widgets on your site, Please check if the same problem is happening with other widgets or not.

Upon inspecting the front end properly, I noticed that the language switcher at the top is inserted using Shortcode. Now, to modify its appearance, you need to activate the "Custom language switcher" option. Please follow the steps below and see if it helps to solve the issue.
- Go to WPML > Languages
- Scroll down to the "Custom language Switchers" section and enable it.
- Once you enable the option, click on "Customize" and you'll see various options to customize the language switcher.
- Enable Flag from there, make the required adjustment, and save the changes.
