[Resolved] mobile buttom bar does not display some categories in categories section
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing an issue where product categories appeared correctly in the English interface on desktop and tablet but not in the mobile view. Solution: If you're experiencing a similar issue with product categories not displaying correctly on mobile devices, we recommend checking the 'Order By' settings. Here's how you can do it: 1. Navigate to 'Appearance' > 'Theme Options' > 'Product Global Options'. 2. Modify the 'Order By' settings to 'Name'. This adjustment should resolve the issue with the product category display on mobile devices. Please note that the options for the Mobile category might not be adjustable through 'Appearance' > 'Widgets'. If this solution doesn't look relevant to your issue, feel free to open a new support ticket with us.

Hello, yesterday you helped me with the categories that appear in the English interface but not in the Arabic interface. Thank you very much, but the same problem exists in the mobile view, I did not check it. This problem seems to have completely disappeared on computers and tablets. Can you help with this too? thanks.
Is there any documentation that you are following?
Hi There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. I will try my best to assist you in this matter.
After examining your site, I noticed that the Category filter is not available in the English language for the mobile layout as well. Only the Color, Price, and Status filters is showing in the filter. Please check this screenshot(hidden link) for a better understanding.
It seems that the mobile filter is set up to show only three properties. However, If you could provide details on how the filter is configured for the menu, I can offer suggestions on how to include the category filter in the product filter sidebar.
You may also contact the Elessi theme support for assistance if you're unsure about customizing the Product filter for mobile devices.
Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
Hi sir,
I bought a ready-made theme and I have no idea how it is done and I don't know much about these things. My main problem is that some categories that appear in the English interface do not appear in the Arabic interface. For example, makeup or gratis categories appear in the English interface but do not appear in the Arabic interface (what I said is valid for mobile). I would be grateful if you could help me with this. thanks
Hi There,
I hope you're doing well. Thank you for the update.
Since products within the categories are showing properly in English but not in Arabic, it is possible that the categories haven't been synced across the other languages yet. Could you please try the following and check if that helps to solve the issue?
- Please go to "Extensions > WooCommerce Multilingual > Categories" tab
- Scroll down to the end and you should see a button named "Synchronize Product categories assignment in content"
- Click on that button till the synchronization gets completed.
- Additionally, please also check the Arabic version of the product and ensure that the Status of the "Products" is not set to "Draft". If you find any product with 'Draft' status, open the product and make sure to Publish the product.
I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, it would be beneficial if you could provide the steps to replicate the issue, along with some screenshots. This will enable me to gain a clearer understanding and offer more precise assistance.
Hello, I did as you said but it didn't work. There was this problem before, but your friend from your wpml team solved the problem. The widgets > shop page filter > he changed category id to name and it solved the problem. The problem was solved for PC and tablet view, but not for mobile. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the problem at the time. Can we solve the source of the problem from here?
Thank you
Hi There,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for my delayed reply; I was on a weekend and vacation break.
I have thoroughly checked the Arabic version of the Gratis category, as mentioned in the previous ticket, but was unable to identify any issues. The category and its related information are displayed correctly in Arabic. For a clearer understanding, please check this video: hidden link.
I would definitely like to solve the problem and would greatly appreciate your assistance in identifying the specific problem. Could you kindly share a screenshot of where the problem is located? Once I have a clear understanding of the matter, I'll be able to address it promptly.
Looking forward to your response and appreciate your kind cooperation in this matter.
Hi There,
Thank you so much for sharing the screenshots. I got a clear understanding of where the issue is happening.
While checking, I found that the categories are properly synchronized and also each Arabic category contains products that are published. But, for some reason, the categories aren't getting updated properly on the category section of the Mobile bar, but working fine in the category that appears on the desktop.
I tried applying all the possible solutions but still, the Mobile bar category is not updating properly. To further investigate the issue, I took a copy of your site and will do further testing by deploying that copy in my development environment.
Meanwhile, consider contacting the support team for the Elessi theme to inquire about synchronizing the category section within the Mobile bar. If they have a solution, simply syncing the category could resolve the issue.
As soon as I have more update on this, I will surely let you know. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this matter.
I'm pleased to let you know that the issue has been resolved. After modifying the "Order By" settings(Appearance > Theme Options > Product Global Options) to 'Name', as shown in the screenshot (hidden link), the problem with the product category on mobile devices was fixed(Please check this screenshot: hidden link).
Locating the setting for mobile took some time, as the options for the Mobile category are not adjustable through "Appearance > Widgets".
I hope it helps. Feel free to let me know if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
