Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're facing. The screenshot from Screamingfrog indeed highlights some SEO issues. However, after checking the paginated pages you provided, I noticed that the SEO information is correctly added on each of these pages. Specifically, the canonical and indexing information is properly tagged. Please refer to the attached screenshot and pay attention to the marked points.

Therefore, the SEO issues shown by the Screamingfrog platform could be a false-positive notification. Please try clearing the caches from your site and browser, as well as the WPML caches by navigating to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting. After doing this, resubmit your site to Screamingfrog and check if the issue persists.

Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards.
Prosenjit

Hi There,
Thank you for the update.

I will be happy to provide detailed instructions.

The options available in the WPML troubleshooter can help resolve several issues, including incorrect language assignment, synchronization of the translation editor and translators, fixing database errors, synchronizing posts, and clearing WPML caches.

Since I found that the SEO is correctly configured on the paginated pages but they are flagged by Screaming Frog, I suspect it could be due to cached data. This is why I suggested clearing the caches completely from your site and browser to see if that resolves the issue. Here are the detailed steps:

1. Clear Site and Browser Caches:
- Site Cache: If you are using any caching plugins (e.g., W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache), clear the cache through their respective settings.
- Browser Cache: Clear your browser's cache by going to your browser's settings and selecting the option to clear browsing data.

2. Clear WPML Caches:
- Navigate to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting"
- Once in the Troubleshooting section, you will see various options that can help resolve issues. Focus on the following steps:
-- Clear the WPML Cache: Clears the internal WPML cache to refresh the data.
-- Fix Language Information: This option helps to correct any incorrect language assignments.
-- Synchronize Posts Taxonomies: Ensures that all posts are properly linked and categorized.

After performing the above steps, resubmit your site to Screamingfrog to check if the issue persists.

I hope you can understand. Please let me know the updates. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi,

This exact setting doesn't exit "-- Fix Language Information: This option helps to correct any incorrect language assignments." Can you please double check and advice what setting you were referring

Hi There,

The correct option is "Set language information," not "Fix language information." I mixed it up with "Fix term count," which is listed immediately after it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So, please click on the 'Set language information' option which should fix any incorrect language assignments to the post or pages.

Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

I followed your instruction, it now down to 568, is there a reason it wasn't fix for all pages?

Hi There,
Thank you for the update.

As mentioned in this hidden link">guide by Screaming Frog about Non-200 Hreflang URLs, the warning primarily appears when URLs included in `rel="alternate" hreflang` annotations do not respond with a 200 status code.

This issue is triggered when URLs included in rel=”alternate” hreflang annotations do not respond with a 200 status code.

However, when I checked the links, they all loaded with a 200 status code. I didn't notice any 404 errors or redirections. For example, please check this link (hidden link), which was flagged by Screaming Frog.

Therefore, as mentioned in my first message, the SEO warnings given by Screaming Frog could be false positives. Since the SEO is correctly configured for the pages, they shouldn't encounter any issues during crawling or indexing by search engines.

However, you can reach out to the Screaming Frog support team or an SEO specialist for further verficiation. This way, we can take any necessary steps if needed.

Feel free to let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. I'll be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
