Problem: How to disable automatic translations inside WPML? Solution: To disable automatic translation: 1) Turn off "Translate Everything automatically" in WPML > Translation Dashboard. 2) In the Advanced Translation Editor's settings, disable "Translate all content automatically when the editor is opened". 3) Disable all automatic translation engines in WPML > Translation Tools. 4) Ensure no admin or translator is enabled for automatic translation in WPML > Translation Tools. If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
We just noticed that WPML has without any prior information enabled automatic extension and payment. This is very bad practice, unethical, and we therefore dont want further to use WPML and are requesting a refund for the latest transaction.
We will dispute the payment with our bank in any case of the outcome of this request.

Hello,
Your registered website hidden link used to have a subscription for automatic translation, and used 84968 credits on the 10th of April 2025. Some of those credits were coming from 60.000 credits that were received free upon purchasing WPML, and around €13.53 were charged for additional use of credits coming from an active Pay-As-You-Go-Subscription.
There is no further credit use registered on our system for your registered site URL.
The subscriptionf or Pay-As-You-Go requires manual user entry of payment information. WPML does not start such a kind of subscription unauthorized.
The subscription is currently canceled, and there are no open payments.
If you do not wish to use automatic translation, you can take the following steps:
1) Make sure that on WPML > Translation Dashboard, the option "Translate Everything automatically" is turned off.
2) On the Advanced Translation Editor, click on the settings on the top right and disable the first option "Translate all content automatically when the editor is opened".
3) On WPML > Translation Tools > Automatic translation engines, disable all automatic translation engines.
4) On WPML > Translation Tools > Who can use Automatic Translation? Make sure that any admin or translator is enabled for automatic translation.
These are basically the only steps you need to take to avoid automatic translation. You can use WPML > Translation Dashboard to create jobs and assign them to yourself or other users of the website, who can then access these jobs at WPML > Translation.
Let me know if you have any further doubts or questions.
In case you refer to a different payment or site URL, please provide me with more details and proof of payment.
If you would like to receive a refund for your WPML subscription (plugin, support, updates), kindly note that this is only possible within 30 days after purchasing WPML. Your annual subscription is about to expire soon. If you do not wish to keep using WPML, please disable automatic renewal on your wpml.org account.
