Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate pages on my site hidden link using WPML. When I press the language option on the first page, the expected content does not appear.

Symptoms:
The translated page displays different content, and the block does not show up at all.

Questions:
Why does the translated page show different content?
How can I ensure the block appears correctly on the translated page?

In reality, I expected the page to be translated in its entirety like the homepage.

The main entry in the Homepage is also not there. Sorry, and thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Is there a template used for the homepage?

if yes, how are you creating it ?

Also, do you possibly use the Full Site Editor?

Hi and thank you!

I do not believe the homepage is a template. WordPress made the site custom.

As far as the editor, I usually use full site editor.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby

I would need an email address I can send an invite to for the WordPress site.

Thanks again.

Regarding the issue you are experiencing -->

I can see that the Full Site Editor (FSE) is being used and that the tempaltes are correctly translated via WPML->Transaltion management->Templates and Templates Parts.

based on this it looks like you are experiencing an issue with the specific template application, please review the following Errata and try the workaround mentioned.

https://wpml.org/errata/template-is-not-applied-to-translated-page/

Let me know your results, and If you are having trouble with the workaround I'd be happy to help.

Greetings and thank you!

I'll do this upon getting out of work.

In the meantime, would the pages translate as they are normally?
I had envisioned this to be seamless, and hopefully don't have to build a whole new site.

Thank you so much!

Hi again and thank you!

The workaround does not work. I am not able to delete the templates, as advised. The only option given is edit. Hopefully you can help me figure it out.

Thanks, Rovena

Hi sorry again.

WordPress states there has to be another solution. No templates can be deleted as they are connected to the theme. That includes the 2nd and 3rd language templates.

Any ideas? Thanks so much.

I would like to test the workaround steps that our team has shared in the documentation -- Do I have your permission to proceed? Please verify that you have a full backup in place before we proceed.
