Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate menus and pages on my site hidden link using WPML. I have followed all the steps provided in your instructions.

Symptoms:
Menus are not translating after updating strings and following all steps provided. Pages do not show as translated even though translations have been done, reviewed, and approved.

Questions:
Why are the menus not translating after updating strings?
Why do pages not show as translated even though translations have been done, reviewed, and approved?

Hello there,

I have fixed the about us page for now, can you check and see if it works for you.

Also, can you provide me few others page example so I can check this further?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hi,

Well, it is a long list. I don't know what you did or what changed but as an example, the home page hidden link was translated and now it is not? But the German and Spanish versions still work for the home page.

And the menus have not synced?

And the about page in French works but not German or Spanish:

hidden link

hidden link

Here is the list:

There is more but I think you get the idea.

What is the problem?

Thanks,

Guy

Hello there,

Can you follow the below steps and see if it helps:

- Go to WPML->Translation management
- Select the page which has the issue and send it for translations
- Check the page once the translations are completed.

If the above doesn't help, please follow the below steps:

- Open the page in default language page editor
- Make a change to the title, you can add "test" on the title
- Complete the translations
- Remove the Test from the page title and update the translations.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks

The page that I originall found to have a problem with, STILL has the problem and now the buttons do not display as they do in English:

hidden link

This page translated into French and German but only partially into Spanish:
hidden link
And the image I'm attaching has not translated and does not even appear?

This page has only translated the 1st Heading, nothing else in any language:
hidden link

I am sure, as per my initial list, there are MANY more pages where it is not working. I am not going to continue checking until this is resolved.

And the Menus are still not syncing.

What is going on???

Hello there,

I suggest you to open a new chat/ticket for the menus issue.

For the pages issue, did you tried the steps as mentioned in my previous reply?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Yes, I did. The TEST appears in the new translated title if I don't remove it, so the title is translated, but not the page contents. If I remove it and then update the translation, it shows as translated as per the screenshot, but it does not pull over to the live site when I update the page. Everytime I do these multiple translation updates it costs me money. I would like a full refund of all the credits used so far as it is not working please.

WPML uses translations memory so if similar content is translated twice it will not cost you credits.

I tried to check the site but the login details seems changed, so can you provide me the updated login details in the next reply?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello there,

Did you edited the about page again using elementor? I see you have visual composer and elementor editor now, when I was testing the issue, we were using WordPress editor.

I would like to get an confirmation from you which editor you are willing to use as this can affect the solution.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

You said to edit it in the default language editor, so that is what i did. I di not use Elmentor or Visual Composer, just the basic editor. See screenshot.
