Background of the issue:
I am trying to update a page or WooCommerce Product, but occasionally the data in our File / Image / Video Field does not display on the website or in the backend. Querying the database shows the data is still associated with the post. This issue affects posts outside of the one being directly edited. Disabling the WPML plugin makes the data reappear. This behavior was consistent over many disable/reenable trials. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
Data in the File / Image / Video Field does not display on the website or in the backend after updating a page or product. The issue is intermittent and affects posts outside of the one being edited. Disabling WPML temporarily resolves the issue.
Questions:
Why does the data in the File / Image / Video Field disappear after updating a page or product?
How can I prevent this issue from occurring when using WPML?
