Hi!

We have just starting with the WPML in our shop. There seems to be a problem with product base slug. We are translating from Finnish to English. Finnish base slug is /tuote/ and translation for that would be /product/, but after saving it doesn't change to shop. In English shop it remains in format ellukauppa.net/en/tuote/.

If we change the slug base language to English and slug to /product/. Then he outcome is obviously ok for English shop, but in Finnish side the /product/ doesn't change to /tuote/

Hi Jani, I'll try to offer a quick solution, before one of my colleagues takes the ticket.

In similar cases, those steps helped:

1. Ensure the slug is updated in WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Store URLs. After updating, resave the permalinks.

2. If the issue persists, go to WPML > String Translation, search for the original slug, and remove it. Then, try updating the slugs again from WPML > Settings > Post Type Translation > Products.

If the above does not help, make sure slug IS NOT already in use for the product category base translation, causing a conflict. If it is, you should rename the category base slug to something else.

Please let us know if none of the above helped also, remember to check your site meets the minimum WordPress and WPML requirements - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/
