Background of the issue:
I’m trying to setup some variable products on WooCommerce. I have been successfully making some product variations however I am now having issues trying to create new product variations. When I desactive WPML it works just fine...

Symptoms:
I’m able to add custom product attributes and add them as variations, however when I press ‘Save changes’, each product variation number keeps losing its assigned value except one or two. When I re-select the correct value and hit save, it just reverts back to no selection each time.

Questions:
Why do my product variations lose their assigned values when I save changes?
How can I fix the issue where product variations revert back to no selection each time I save?

Hello Drazen,

I checked and it's "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency" that's causing the bug

Hello,

please confirm that the issue happens when only WPML plugins are enabled and Wocommerce, all others are disabled while using the WP default theme?

Drazen

Hello the bug disappear :
- when only WPML is disabled
- when only WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency

Otherwise it's working, so I suppose it's a conflict between the two?

Hello,

I am afraid not since WCML is required for WPML to work correctly with Wocommerce.

Please check what I suggested and let me know how it goes.

Thank you.

If WPML plugins are enabled and Wocommerce, all others are disabled while using the WP default theme, it's working but if I enable "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency" it's not working anymore...

Hello,

WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency is a WPML plugin, so it should stay on.

Please share with me admin access and FTP so I can check and step by step guide on how can I check the issue.

Make sure you have a backup,

Regards,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks. Please as mentioned in previous reply provide with me step by step guide to check the issue, or you can provide a video, with tools like LOOM.

Also, let me know if it is okay to disable plugins and switch themes on your live website or you can maybe provide a staging site?

Regards,
Drazen

Hello,

Sorry I didn't see that, so if you enable the plugin "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency" and then go on the latest product entered (TH47646), it is a variable product and you'll see that the selected variations do not appear.

But if you disable "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency" (it's disable now) and you go on the same product, you'll see that it's working.

I made a video with loom here to show it : hidden link

And yes, you can disable plugins / switch themes, I do not have a staging site so I made a backup.

Hello,

thanks.

I checked and it works just fine with all plugins enabled, including WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency. The issue is coming from your custom theme, probably related to some custom code you use there. If you use the default theme or parent Generatepress theme it works just fine.

I advise consulting further with a developer who created the child theme or using the original parent theme.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the problem.
I see ;; But I need the custom taxonomies, I can't remove them...
And do you know why everything work fine by disabling "WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency"?

If you can't help me, do you know some developer that could look at this problem please?

Hello,

I am not sure what part of your custom-coded theme is causing the issue, unfortunately, it is out of the scope of our support to debug custom-coded solutions.

I advise consulting with a developer who created a theme for you or hiring one if you need further help you can use WPML contractors: https://wpml.org/contractors/

Hope this helps.

Drazen
