[Closed] Production site acts like development site (message in footer)

Background of the issue:
We have ongoing issues with WPML getting confused about development and production versions of our sites. We are using wp-staging plugin, and this works well to manage our development ('stage') and live sites.

Symptoms:
There are regular messages to confirm whether we want to use WPML on our site, and a confusing bar appears at the bottom of the live page: 'This site is registered on wpml.org as a development site. Switch to a production site key to remove this banner.'

Questions:
How do I remove the bar and set the live site to production?
Could you please work with the wp-staging plugin folks to remove these annoying problems?
