Background of the issue:
I am trying to click on the pencil icon to edit the translation of a post on hidden link. We have recently migrated the site to Siteground.

Symptoms:
When I click on the pencil icon to edit the translation of a post, it redirects to the home page instead of launching the translation editor. I can see the 301 HTTP response there.

Questions:
Why does clicking the pencil icon to edit the translation redirect to the home page?
Is the issue related to the recent migration to Siteground?

I have created a staging site. all plugins disabled. problem still exists
