This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to remove content from deactivated languages (Russian and Portuguese) on their WordPress site using WPML. Despite deactivating the languages and attempting to delete the associated content, it remains in the database and is visible on the site.
Solution:
If you're experiencing issues with content not being removed after deactivating languages, it's important to note that while translations for posts, pages, and products are typically removed correctly, taxonomies might not be deleted due to a known issue. We recommend manually removing these taxonomies. For more detailed guidance, please visit our forum post on this topic: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/uninstall-wpml-3/#post-16338821.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to remove content from a deleted language on my WordPress site using WPML. I deactivated Russian and Portuguese (Brazil) languages, but there are still some existing translations saved in my database. I clicked on the image to delete this content. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
The content does not get removed from my website after clicking the image to delete it. I expected the notice and information about deactivated languages to be removed, but it remains.

Questions:
Why doesn't the content get removed after clicking the image?
How can I successfully delete the content associated with the deactivated languages?

Hi there.

Please take a look here:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/uninstall-wpml-3/#post-16338821

The translations for other content types (posts, pages, products, etc.) are removed correctly. However, due to a known issue related to taxonomies, they will need to be removed manually.

Our team is working on fixing that.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.
