This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client accidentally deleted the wrong domain registration after migrating their site and is unsure how to restore it. They are also confused about whether they need to register both the primary (.com) and secondary (.nl) domains with WPML.
Solution:
1. Generate a new key for the domain in use at https://wpml.org/account/sites.
2. Go to the WordPress backend > Plugins > Add new > Commercial, and re-register WPML using the new key.
3. Only the main domain needs to be registered. After registering, click "check for updates" to ensure WPML is still showing as registered.
4. If WPML shows as registered after refreshing the page, no further action is required.
5. There is no need to register the secondary .nl domain.
