Search is not working with WPML

Daniel Faessler	My configuration: WPML & Avada theme. The issue: WP-standard search only shows one hit. What I did so far: > I renamed Child-Theme to check if functions.php is the cause: --> WP-standard search still shows one hit. > I deactivated all plugins except 'WPML Multilingual CMS' to check if a plugin is the cause: --> WP-standard search still shows one hit. > I deactivated only 'WPML Multilingual CMS' with all other plugins active: --> WP-standard search is correct. What could be the solution?

Daniel Faessler	Hello I updated WPML-Plugins to newest versions. But fulltext search still is not working. Please have a look at this and let me know how to solve this. Thanks and kind regards, Daniel

Daniel Faessler	Hello Marcos Thank you for your message. I migrated the site as indicated. But not all of the fields were shown in the migration form: Database User & Database Password were missing, but I guess you find this info in the configuration files. To reproduce the situation (works with every search term): > Klick on Search icon in main menu area > Search for 'Epilepsie' Expected result: -> List of all search hits (which should be over 130 hits) Actual result: -> List shows only one hit Regardless of the search term, it is always the same hit shown. But only, if search term actually matches this page. In WPML-troubleshooting page I already did > Clear cache in WPML > Remove ghost entries Then I deactivated all plugins, and left only 'WPML Multilingual CMS' active: --> Still only one hit Then I deactivated 'WPML Multilingual CMS' as well (so, all Plugins deactivated): --> Search result list is complete Then I activated all plugins, and left only 'WPML Multilingual CMS' inactive: --> >search result list is complete So I guess this really has to do with 'WPML Multilingual CMS'. Marcos Vinicios Barreto	Hello, Thank you for the provided details. The issue is not caused by WPML, instead it is related to the way Avada theme handles the search mechanism. I fixed the issue with theses steps: 1 - At WordPress Dashboard > Avada > Options > Search > Search Form I clicked the 'Limit Search Results Post Types' option and then I included all the availabe posts types in the search results (see attached screenshot). I setup it it the same way for the theme options in the french language as well. In Avada you should adjust your settings for every WPML language available. 2 - You can confirm the search results at: Dutch: hidden link French: hidden link So, you can experiment with the same settings on your end in order to fix this issue.
