This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are trying to use KI automatic translation for various content types on your site, but you encounter an issue where the system reports that some content has already been translated from German (DE) to English (EN), despite you never having created content in EN. This occurs when you attempt to translate pages, site templates, and other elements.
Solution:
First, verify that the language settings for your pages are correctly assigned. If the English versions are not properly linked as translations in the system, consider removing these translations and recreating them. This approach involves deleting both the original and the English version of the affected pages and then recreating them from scratch to ensure they are treated as new entries in the database. This method allows proper assignment through the translation management system.
If you encounter issues such as error 500 after these changes, it might be related to permalinks. You can address this by resaving your permalinks or following the troubleshooting steps provided here: WPML permalink issue.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
