Background of the issue:
I am new to WPML and trying to translate my site using Elementor. I noticed that after installation, some elements of my site are translated and some are not. Specifically, on the landing page at hidden link, the first text on the top 'IL TUO RIFERIMENTO A FIRENZE PER IL NOLEGGIO МОТО HERTZ...' is not translated. I tried to open the Elementor page in English (choosing English language and then 'edit with Elementor') using this link: hidden link. I changed the Italian text to an English translation and saved it, but when I reopen the page in edit mode, my translation is cleared and the Italian text is back. I tried deactivating all 'automatic translations' and set options to 'let me translate manually' but nothing worked.

Symptoms:
Translations made in Elementor are saved but reverted to the original Italian text upon reopening the page in edit mode.

Questions:
Why are my translations in Elementor not being saved?
How can I ensure that my manual translations are retained in WPML?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching us. I've checked your Website and the translations are displaying fine as shown in the attached screenshot. Did you sort it out yourself?

Hi,

I sorted out deactivating the wpml editor for all pages. In this way wpml is not overwriting my translations.

To summarize what happened and how I bypassed the issue:
- wpml wasn't detecting and translating some of the elementor components such as "custom font" component (it's a bizzarre name for the component since it's very similar to the "editor text" or "section title" component)
- so I switched to english and then I edited the text inside the page through elementor
- everything worked fine
- but I realized that wpml advanced translator was overwriting my translation and reverting to the original one
- so I deactivated the wpml advanced translator and it seems that now wpml is preserving my translations

But now I have another issue but probably it's better to close this and open a new one
