This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client changed the primary language of their website from German to English and encountered issues with translations not updating correctly. When editing a page in Elementor in English and then switching to the Dutch translation, the changes were not visible because the Dutch translation was still referring to the German page, which was the primary language before the change.
Solution:
We explained that when the primary language is changed, the default language for existing posts and pages remains unchanged. Therefore, for the existing content, the client should first make changes in the original primary language (German), and then update the English and Dutch translations. For new content, the client can create it directly in English and then translate it into German and Dutch. We recommended verifying this approach and providing feedback.
