This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the translation counter in WPML does not reach 100%, preventing the saving or completion of translations. This is accompanied by a spinning wheel at the bottom of the text on two posts.
Solution:
We recommend trying to switch to the older version of the Advanced Translation Editor by clicking on the cog wheel icon in the top right corner to see if this resolves the issue. If the problem persists, we may need to examine the website more closely. For this, temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated would be required. It is crucial to ensure that you have a backup of your site to prevent any potential data loss. We suggest using the UpdraftPlus plugin for your backup needs.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, please check the related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, we highly recommend opening a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I have two posts on hidden link where I am manually controlling the proposed automatic translations using WPML. I have resolved every issue, but the translation counter is not reaching 100%, preventing me from saving or finishing the translation.

Symptoms:
At the bottom of all text, there is a spinning wheel visible on both posts, which seems to prevent me from reaching 100% completion.

Questions:
Can you please help me to remedy the spinning wheel issue that prevents me from finishing the translation?

Thanks for contacting us.

I can see the issue based on the screenshot you shared. Could you please try switching to the older version of the Advanced Translation Editor by clicking on the cog wheel icon in the top right corner and see if it works for you?

If the issue persists, I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Hello, Kor,

thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I had to find a solution fast, so I reverted to a backup-copy of the one page I had made and updated missing info here.

And for the second page I just had the translation removed and re-translated. I did regret having to use a goodly number of credits to have the page-retranslated (it's a loooong text ;-), but, hey: that's life! All the best to you,
Olaf
