Hi again,

I'm afraid the issue is not completely resolved..
Please check the links here:
hidden link
hidden link

there are still three versions of the link (for each langauge), is it possible to leave only one?
So for PL sitemap, I would like to see only PL links, for DE only german links etc..

The second issue, please check the following sitemaps:
hidden link - this is correct
hidden link - this is NOT correct, links are in DE, but described as PL

Hello,

as mentioned let's continue our conversation on this new ticket.

1) there are still three versions of the link (for each language), is it possible to leave only one?

I think is normal and expected, one sitemap is created and lists all language, at least plugin author has not noticed anything strange with it when we reported your last issue to them.

If you still have doubts about it, I recommend you to contact your SEO plugin author for further info or feature suggestion.

2) I see the issue with the gallery on the links you shared.

How are gallery pages created, using some plugin or?

3) Would you be able to go to the next sandbox website and try to replicate the issue with some dummy simple example?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

Thanks for the answer.

2) These pages are custom post type (galeria), generated by custom php code.

3) I've tried to replicate the issue, unfortunately it's different than on our production website, I was not able to add the custom modification into All in One SEO plugin (from the previous topic), maybe that's the problem..
Here you can see PL sitemap for the gallery custom post type:

and here DE version:

Hello,

thank you very much for testing it on the sandbox site.

I have followed your suggestion and indeed the workaround fix suggested from the previous ticket causes such an issue with your CPT sitemap.

I have shared this and contacted our developers from escalated ticket, and will update you when I have some news.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks for the patience.

It seems this issue is indeed caused/related to our previous workaround and your CPT code.

wpml_permalink was not working for the custom post type, and it seems to be related to how it was registered.

Please update to the latest versions of AIOSEO.

Please add the previous workaround.

Please add next to the $args array for your CPT:

'rewrite' => array('slug' => 'galeria'),

(you may need to resave the permalinks and generate new sitemap)

Then please go to WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation and set the same slug for translation. I used 'galeria' as the translation but I tried without any and it worked on the sandbox.

Please check and let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,

thanks for getting back to.

Yes, FTP would be helpful, try to edit your private reply from above and add FTP also.

I am seeing some wired behavior with your website:

1) If I change slug transaltion it is not represented inside the gallery sitemap. Could be some cached page is showing and that is why the fix is not working?

2) Sitemap randomly returns 404. I suspect some other code/plugin is making permalinks changes and causing this issue.

Also /sitemap.xml/ doesn't seem to work or show anything.

Video: hidden link

I suggest you try to reproduce the same issue on our sandbox provided before and/or add the same CPT code on your side to WP 2021 theme and check if the issue still happens when only WPML plugins and AISEO are active.

It seems the fix is working fine on the sandbox, so I think something else is causing these issues on your side.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello Drazen,

I've added FTP credentials..

Regarding the issue
1 ) I've changed slug transaltion and it's visible on the sitemap, please check the screenshots:
- hidden link
- hidden link
Please notice that there's a LiteSpeed cache plugin installed, so please empty all cache after your modification or you can temporary disable this plugin.

2) I can't see this problem, maybe it's also connected with the cache..

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

I have just logged in to check and I still have some issues:

I've changed slug transaltion and it's visible on the sitemap

Okay, but where have you changed it?

Since under WPML settings, they are not changed, so either you are doing it in some other way or as said something is wrong with your environment permalinks/settings.

I tried clearing the cache and deactivating Litespeed.

Image attached.

Please let me know.

Maybe it is some other code/plugin causing these issues, I suggest we try with the default theme and only WPML and AISEO. If you can check let me know, otherwise I will provide instructions to migrate a copy to our server.

Thanks,
Drazen

Hello,
I've changed the slug under WPML settings, but it was only temporary change (it's production website, so we don't want to change structure of the links).

I've also checked the your sandbox installation and it seems that the sitemap is still wrong, please check it here: hidden link
It's DE sitemap, and links are also DE (correct) but they are described as PL, so it's not correct I think:

Hello,

thanks for getting back.

You are right, it doesn't work anymore on the sandbox also.

Not sure what is going on here, let me check with our developers again so they have a better look.

I will update you soon.

Thanks,
Drazen
