This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported that the language switcher had disappeared on smartphones and was unsure how it was added to the header in the first place.
Solution:
We suggested checking if there was an option within the theme settings that might control the display of the language switcher on different devices. We also considered the possibility of custom code affecting its visibility. To further investigate, we requested temporary access to the client's site, with a strong recommendation to take a full backup before providing access. We recommended using the Duplicator plugin for backup purposes. http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
If you're experiencing a similar issue with your language switcher not appearing on mobile devices, we recommend checking your theme options for any responsive design settings or custom code that might affect its visibility. If the problem persists, please consider taking a full backup of your site and then contact us for further assistance. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
