Hi Andreas,

Didn't had time yet to upload a bunch of products but tested out a few times and it worked when we last spoke. Now I went to correct a little bug I saw (short description with wrong info, where it should be blank - the problem that the short description didn't updates to blank if the original post had a blank short description to begin with, when I create products by duplicating similar products), in the 14357 product, and it now doesn't work again 🙁 Then just to be sure, went to 45907 and same happen.

Remember when I saved one translation and then go to a second translation and find that info in draft instead of fully translated? At that time, when this was happening, when I saved it the second time, it would work and update. Now it doesn't.

Also, i've tested creating a product from scratch, but when I finalize the original product and try translate it, it doesn't create the translated language product as it was supposed to 🙁

We have two known issues that I already escalated to development:

- Product description remains saved on translated products if the original product description is deleted

- Product descriptions will save as drafts on the Advanced Translation Editor, causing translations not to be completed. You will need to open the translation for a second time and save it.

Do I understand correctly that the issues you would like to report are related to both known issues?

Hi Andreas,

I believe the issues you mentioned are secondary. The core problem has always been that the site fails to consistently translate products, and this remains unresolved. The translations work intermittently—sometimes they work when you try something new, but then they stop again. This issue started in early December without any changes on our end that could provide this, which strongly suggests that something in WPML was modified, and the root cause has yet to be identified.

Here’s what I’ve tested:

- When creating a new product and clicking the "plus" to add a translation, the translated product is never created.

- When duplicating an existing product, modifying it, and then clicking the "plus" to add the translation, the translated product does not update with the new changes.

- However, translating strings, like shipping option names, does work.

This means WPML is fundamentally not functioning or correctly linking the EN and PT products.

Frankly, this has been frustrating. We have lost orders (revenue) and, most critically, a significant amount of time trying to troubleshoot this.

I need this issue escalated further if possible. This ongoing problem is severely affecting our ability to manage our store efficiently, causing lost orders, lost revenue, and a significant amount of wasted time. Rebuilding translations manually for nearly 1,000 products is not a viable solution, so we need a concrete resolution as soon as possible.

The following issues causes translations not to complete:

"Product descriptions will save as drafts on the Advanced Translation Editor, causing translations not to be completed. You will need to open the translation for a second time and save it."

Once the issue occurs, open the translation editor.

If you see segments saved as draft (orange marker) then this is the issue we reported already. You will need to save the segments a second time.

If this is not the same issue, please let me know.

Hi Andreas,

That issue still happens ocassionally. However, even saving the translation a second and third time, won't make the translated page be created or the already translated page to be updates.

That was a secondary issue that started happening after the original and bigger problem which was the products translation was not functioning properly. This was always the bigger problem. which we are trying to solve since December.

The draft one or the short description problem is not really a big inconvenience. This one of not being able to translate, it is as we have a ton of products that we cannot upload or update because of this 🙁

These credentials work for server protection but not for accessing the staging.

Login info is the same for live and stating site as referred in our last message.

It happens in all products. Just the products however.

The live site credentials that I have available for the live site do not work for the staging site.

I have enabled the private reply form again. Please provide me with the admin credentials for the staging site.

I do not have an issue with translating products on the staging site.

Please try to recreate the issue on the staging site and name me an example product.

Are all plugins on your live site updated?

I found an example in which the translation was not completed.

After going to WPML > Settings > Custom Field Translation and setting the following fields to "Copy" the translation worked:

lumise_customize
lumise_product_base
