This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're unable to translate the text of your homepage images, even though caption translation is activated and if using Avada image carousel widget.
Solution:
We recommend you follow these steps:
1. Navigate to WPML > Settings > Custom XML Configuration.
2. Add the following code:

<wpml-config>
<shortcodes>
       <shortcode>
            <tag>fusion_image</tag>
            <attributes>
               <attribute type="link">link</attribute>
               <attribute>alt</attribute>
              <attribute>image_title</attribute>
              <attribute>image_caption</attribute>
               <attribute type="media-url">image</attribute>
            </attributes>
        </shortcode>
  </shortcodes>
</wpml-config>

3. Make a small change to the default language page and save.
4. Re-translate the page.
After these steps, the image title and caption should be available for translation.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
