Background of the issue:
I encountered a message in the WP Dashboard: hidden link. I haven't changed the site domain or updated any plugins today. The issue can be seen at hidden link.

Symptoms:
A 'domain change' message appeared in the WP Dashboard unexpectedly.

Questions:
What might be the reason for this 'domain change' message to appear?
Does this message pose any risks?

Hello,

Please revise your WordPress Settings for Home URL and Site URL.

Did you maybe change it to hidden link ?

If not, please select the "No" option on the migration banner.

It would also be very helpful if you could provide us with WPML debugging information.

Best regards

Hi Andreas,

I’ve added here below the debug log, it’s a Dropbox link because the file is quite large and couldn't be included directly into your special area:
hidden link

We’re certain that we haven’t changed the base URL in our WordPress settings, and currently, the correct URL is still displayed there.

Unfortunately, one of our team members accidentally clicked “Yes” on the banner, and we’re now trying to understand what potential impact this may have had on functionality.

For example, yesterday we noticed that when clicking the Translation button in the post editor (screenshot: hidden link), it now redirects to the automatic translation editor (hidden link) instead of the manual one.

After comparing this behavior with our DEV environment, we found that for some reason, the translation mode seems to have changed on our LIVE site (hidden link).

Any recommendations on what we should check, change, or fix would be highly appreciated.

First, if you would still like to use the Classic Translation Editor, then please revert to the setting on the production site.

The migration banner usually only matters if you use the Advanced Translation Editor. It handles organizations for your site on our system which controls translation jobs, glossary, and translation credits for automatic translations.

As the Classic Translation Editor does not support these features, this will not impact you.

Also, I can confirm that on our system the site is registered as hidden link and there is no entry like hidden link.

Why the banner occurred is unclear to me. did the banner disappear now and you are able to operate the site?
