Hi, We've translated the strings of the User Registration Pro plugin (hidden link) from English to German. Some strings on the account edit page remain English. Purging all caches does not help. I found this solved issue that might be similar: https://wpml.org/errata/strings-loaded-via-ajax-are-not-translated-in-chrome-for-logged-in-users/. We are on v4.6.7 so this should not be causing the problem. Are there any known similar open issues that may cause this? Kind regards, |

Hey there, Thank you for contacting our support. Are you trying to translate those strings via String Translation? If so, maybe it is possible that the strings registered in there aren't the correct ones. Let's try to find new strings with the following procedure: Please go to WPML -> String Translation and enable the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered", then visit the page in which the form is located and go back to the String Translation, refresh the page and check if you'll be able to locate new strings now. (Please don't forget to uncheck the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered" once you're done). Translate the new strings and see if it gets the issue fixed. If it doesn't work, can you give us an example of a string that's not translated? Thank you, please let us know. |

Thanks Mateus. I had already tried "Look for strings while pages are rendered" before, but I now tried again. Then I found that 2 out of 3 strings were fine in the frontend without making any changes. The 3rd could be fixed by translating a duplicate it now found. But then other strings in the frontend switched back to English. That had happened before, and now there were new duplicates of those strings that I also needed to translated. When that was done, the first 3 strings were all back to English. It's absolutely hopeless. I guess I first have to go back to my developer and the User Registration Pro plugin. This feels like a bug because everytime I translate something, it either stays English or something else switches back from German to English. |

Hello, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it. Our Debugging Procedures I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site. Privacy and Security Policy We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see: **IMPORTANT** - Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access. Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day. |

Hi Mateus, We're fine for now. What I meant was: my developer changed our user account pages to not update via ajax, and now the translations are displayed fine. So it seems like the issue in https://wpml.org/errata/strings-loaded-via-ajax-are-not-translated-in-chrome-for-logged-in-users/ is back, or something similar. I thought it might be interesting for your developers to know. Since we're short before go-live I don't have the option for further research but I will keep an eye on this of course. Thanks, |
