This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to translate strings in the WPML String Translation interface using Deepl but cannot find an option to do so automatically.
Solution:
First, we recommend checking if the strings are available for translation in the 'Translate texts in admin screens' as detailed in our documentation here.
If the strings are not there, you may need to scan the theme or plugin files for strings that are not appearing on the String Translation page, as explained in the same documentation.
Once you have located the strings, select them and send them to the translation basket. From there, you can choose to translate them automatically or manually.

Please note that the solution provided might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If this is the case, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket. You can reach out to us through the WPML support forum.

Michael

I am trying to translate the main page of a multisite with Deepl. Pages and some Blocks translated as expected. But I cannot find an option to translate strings in Strings Translation (where my Block-Widget are) with deepl.

Do I have a setting wrong or where can I find this option?
Kind regards

Thanks for reaching us.

Unfortunately, it is not related to deepl when the strings that you're looking for cannot be located in the string translations. Have you checked "Translate texts in admin screens" option as explained here? https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

Or try scanning the theme or plugin files as explained in the documentation that I've shared.

Please let me rephrase.

The strings are there, they are ready to be translated. Can I use Deepl to automatically translate them? Or do they have to be translated manually?

Thanks for your reply.

Glad to know that you're able to locate the strings that you need to translate. Just select the strings and send them to the translation basket, then translate them automatically or manually.
