[Resolved] Synchronization issues between languages on main page
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with synchronization between languages on the main page after manually translating titles, subtitles, and banners using the "Edit with UX Builder". The main language is Portuguese (PT), with English (EN) and French (FR) as secondary languages. After updating the main PT language page, the manual translations in EN and FR were lost and reverted to PT.
Solution: 1. Edit the home page in the default PT language. 2. Select the WPML editor from the language side panel. 3. Ensure the Pencil icon is visible, indicating the translation is complete. 4. Edit the home page in the default PT language and select the WordPress editor. 5. Edit the translated home page using the UX builder. 6. Change the image as needed. 7. Update the translated home page. 8. Edit the home page in the default PT language again and select the WordPress editor. 9. Make any edits to the home page in the default PT language and update it. 10. Check the translated home page on the front end to ensure the changes are reflected.

I couldn't reproduce the issue on your staging site by the following steps:
1- Changing the image on the English page (hidden link)
2- Change the image on the default language page (hidden link)
3- Check the English page after the edit, and the image didn't change.
Kindly check this video. (hidden link)
Would you please let me know if I missed any steps to reproduce the issue?
Your steps are right, after reviewing your video and conducting further checks on my own, it appears that the issue is not occurring on the staging site. Did you make any changes on WPML configurations?
Because, the problem persists on the original site. Could you please do the steps on the original site?
The staging site was recently duplicated from the original one, and no changes were made to the configurations. Additionally, both sites are hosted on the same server.
Upon comparing both the staging and original sites, I noticed a discrepancy highlighted in the attached screenshots.
Could you please provide insight into what might be causing this issue on the original site?
1) I didn't change any WPML settings on your staging site. Before switching to the WordPress editor, I just completed the translation using the WPML editor.
2) I did the same on your live site. Please check if the translated page works correctly. (hidden link)
I translated it using UX Builder. The same steps I did on the staging site. (hidden link)
If you need a new video from the live site doing these steps, please let me know. Also, please let me know if the page works correctly after editing the default language page.
Before using the UX builder, edit the default language page and check the language side panel. If you see the "Pencil" icon, select WordPress editor and edit the translated page.
If you see the "Spinning Arrows" icon, update the translation using the WPML editor, make sure you see the pencil icon, and then use the WordPress editor.
1- Edit the home page in the default language
2- Select the WPML editor from the language side panel
3- Make sure you see the Pencil icon, not the spinning arrows or the gear icon
4- Edit the home page in the default language and select the WordPress editor
5- Edit the translated home page using the UX builder
6- Change the image
7- Update the translated home page
8- Edit the home page in the default language and select the WordPress editor
9- Make any edits to the home page in the default language and update it
9- Check the translated home page on the front end
I'm afraid I can't set it as private; hence, you didn't set it as private when creating the ticket.
Please open the ticket using a private tab and let me know if there are any screenshots you want me to delete.
Best regards,
Osama
