Background of the issue:
I am trying to get rid of phantom texts that appear in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) but do not exist on the page. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
I expected to see none of the phantom texts that are not found on the page content, including image titles. Instead, I got those annoying 'test' and 'temp' texts as Titles.

Questions:
How can I remove phantom texts from the ATE that are not present on the actual page?
Why are 'test' and 'temp' texts appearing as Titles when they shouldn't be?

Hello,

Please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and use the option to "Clear the cache in WPML".

Now, edit the content of the original page, save the page and open the WPML Translation Editor again.

In case this does not solve the issue, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi,

Did you try to update the original content, save the page and then translate again?

If yes, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private reply form looks like this:
