This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
In Elementor forms, when translating pages using WPML, the new lines for select box options are lost, causing the options to display incorrectly and result in empty select boxes on the translated pages.
Solution:
We recommend disabling larger segments in the WPML editor to maintain the line breaks in select box options. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in our errata page: https://wpml.org/errata/line-breaks-are-ignored-when-using-the-advanced-translation-editor/. Please note, if you are using the same options as previously translated, the translation memory might use the old translation. In this case, you should either overwrite the existing translation or test with new, not previously translated options.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
In Elementor forms, the options of a select box are each on a new line. When I translate the page using WPML, these new lines for the options are dropped, and everything is displayed in the same line, which leads to empty select-boxes in the translated pages. The only workaround is to use the 'String Translations' and directly translate the options there, because there you can add new lines for the translated values. However, this is not a solution because if you translate the WordPress page after that, all options from the Elementor forms of the page are written in one line again.

Symptoms:
Options of a select box in Elementor forms are not translated correctly, leading to empty select-boxes in the translated pages.

Questions:
How can I ensure that the options of a select box in Elementor forms are translated correctly without losing the new lines?
Is there a permanent solution to prevent the options from being written in one line after translating the WordPress page?

Hello,

our 2nd tier checked and it seems disabeling bigger segments in WPML editor helps and solved the issue, can you please try next errata:

Please note you may not see this working if you are using same options, as translation memory will be used and old translation, so you need to either overwrite or test on new not translated options.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Drazen
